HOMELESSNESS CASE OFFICER
37 hours per week
Scale 5 (£26,511 - £32,234 per annum)
Fixed term for 12 months
Blaby District Council’s Housing Services Team is a busy, high performing Housing and Homelessness service situated in our main offices in Narborough.
We are looking for a knowledgeable individual who is passionate about helping people. This is a customer facing role providing homelessness advice to our clients with a strong emphasis on prevention. Preferably you will have experience in homelessness with a working knowledge of Part VI and VII of the Housing Act 1996 and the Homelessness Reduction Act 2017.
Most importantly you will have experience in a customer service environment and an understanding of the social issues that surround homelessness. The ability to build upon and establish new relationships with our partner agencies is a strong advantage for this role.
Working with some of the most vulnerable people at a difficult time in their lives this role has a positive impact on solving problems and making a difference, that’s what makes it so rewarding.
Applicants must have:-
Knowledge of part VI and part VII of the Housing Act 1996
Knowledge of the Homelessness Reduction Act 2017
Experience of working in a customer service environment
