About the role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly-motivated and proactive Parent Support Advisor to bring their skills to All Saints CE Primary School. We are a one-form entry primary school in Sidley and are proud to be at the heart of a vibrant community.

You will be responsible for identifying vulnerable children in consultation with school, family, carers and other professionals and the children themselves. The successful applicant will co-ordinate a package of services in and out of school that will improve the child’s behaviour, motivation, self-esteem and educational attainment. They will liaise and work effectively with the family, school and other professionals to promote the wellbeing of the child.

In these challenging times, now more than ever, a role like this can have a hugely positive impact upon a child's life and can support parents to make positive changes.

Ideally, you will have a recognised Level 4 professional qualification, (e.g. social work, youth work, nursing or equivalent experience), and will need to show a deep understanding of targeted support for families.

Crucially, you’ll need to be prepared to work effectively with families to support them across a range of issues such as accessing benefits, bedtime routines, appropriate referral routes, family administration and debt management.  You will be empathetic yet robust and be practical in the steps you provide for families to begin to support themselves.

In return, we offer great opportunities for professional development and the chance to be part of a school and community that is going from strength to strength. We are committed to bringing about change in the lives of vulnerable children and families and the successful applicant will be instrumental to this.

We will provide a dedicated office space and IT to support you in this role.

Visit our school, meet our children and you will be warmly welcomed.  Please email finance@allsaintsbexhill.org to arrange.
