Salary: £18,562 per annum pro rata
Contract: Fixed Term Contract - 2 years
Hours: Full time - 37 hours per week
Location: Based at Priory House, Chicksands with travel

More about the role:
You’ll work in Trading Standards, Environmental Health and Licensing learning how we make sure businesses play by the rules and keep our residents safe, checking businesses including restaurants, taxis, shops and zoos, learning how we advise and support them and when we need to take enforcement action.
You’ll learn about the work of Trading Standards, Environmental Health and Licensing spending time with each team developing the skills you need to understand the laws that businesses need to follow.
You’ll do this by:
- Providing information and advice, communicating with businesses and members of the public to help their understanding of the legal requirements.
- Carrying out visits to businesses as well as contacting them by telephone, email and post.
- Assessing businesses against the laws that apply to them and supporting officers in taking enforcement actions such as prosecutions where this is necessary.
- Becoming familiar with the databases and records we keep and help maintain them
