The Mental Health Support Teams have core functions:

health issues.

2. Supporting the senior mental health lead in each education setting to introduce

or develop their whole school approach to mental health and emotional wellbeing.

The temporary Children’s Wellbeing Practitioner has a responsibility for supporting the development of the MHSTs and embedding their services within educational settings across East Sussex. The postholder maintains a caseload, delivers group interventions and undertakes the role of support co-ordinator for children/young people with mild to moderate mental health problems in educational settings.

We welcome part-time/flexible working, job share applications or requests for secondment opportunities.  The successful postholder will be based in St Mark’s House in Eastbourne and will be expected to support children in MHST schools in the South Downs area.
