Are you a teaching assistant looking for a new challenge?
An opportunity has arisen for a support worker in the Lewes, Wealden and Coastal Strip area, based at our Ringmer Teaching & Learning Centre to work within ISEND Teaching and Learning Provision (TLP).
TLP works with students, mainly, but not solely, KS3 & KS4 unable to attend school for reasons of ill health. Students are supported in a variety of venues dependent on need, usually at home or at one of three teaching centres. You will therefore need a current driving licence and vehicle
You will act as key worker for individual students and support T&L Provision teachers to deliver a personalised programme of study. You will also support the development of student’s social and emotional skills through working with students individually and in groups and support the setting up of an e-learning programme of study for individual students.
A key element of the role is to support the reintegration of students back into full time education at school, so you should have an understanding of the academic and pastoral needs of the students.
You must be prepared to attend training and follow a programme of continuing professional development (CPD).
Please note that the salary for this role pro rata for hours and term time only working is £13,166 per annum
