Caretaker
Job introduction
We are looking for an appropriately qualified person to undertake the role of Caretaker/Cleaner ensuing a safe and clean learning environment for the pupils.
The successful candidate will:
- Work under the direction of the Site Manager
- Be able to work on their own initiative but also as part of a team
- Have knowledge and experience of building maintenance e.g. decorating, carpentry
- Have cleaning and possibly caretaking experience
- Be flexible with a can do attitude
Paid weeks per year: 52
Hours of work: this role will involve working a split shift basis each day – e.g. 7.00am – 10.00am and 2.00pm – 6.00pm/6.30pm
Start date: ASAP
About the role
The Governors wish to appoint an appropriately qualified person to undertake the role of Caretaker/Cleaner – ensuring a safe and clean learning environment for the pupils.
The successful candidate will have knowledge and experience of building maintenance e.g. decorating, carpentry, cleaning and possibly have caretaking experience. Good interpersonal skills are required and empathy towards young people.
The daily working pattern will be on a split shift basis, early mornings and returning later in the afternoon.

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is part-time or term-time only.
