Do you have a strong background in executive administration? Would you relish working with councillors and officers to ensure decisions are made and communicated effectively? This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic Council that delivers high quality services and puts customer service at the heart of everything we do. 

We are looking for an Democratic Services Officer to work on high level decision making bodies of the Council, ensuring that councillors, officers and members of the public are provided with excellent customer service and are able to fully engage with the decision making  process.

The post will also help to improve levels of democratic engagement across the Borough, and support councillors in their various roles through member support, development and training initiatives.

The post holder should ideally have a background in Democratic Services and possess excellent administrative and communication skills with a sound working knowledge of Microsoft Office.  You will be required to work with a high level of accuracy and be able to work under pressure to meet statutory deadlines.
