Service and Strategy Manager
This post is an exciting opportunity to drive forward our agenda to improve children’s joint commissioning and to increase independence for children, young people and families by promoting greater personalisation in commissioning approaches which meet our local need profile. The postholder will help deliver the children’s joint commissioning function within Barnsley MBC and will work closely with NHS Barnsley CCG on our joint commissioning priorities. You will help support key partnerships such as the Children and Young People’s Trust and its Executive Commissioning Group. You will have experience of partnership working, stakeholder engagement, and driving change at a systems wide level. This is a great opportunity for an experienced children’s professional to take your next step into strategic management, helping shape and deliver key plans for vulnerable children, young people and their families.
The post-holder will be able to operate effectively in a rapidly changing environment. They will have a sound grasp of all areas within the commissioning cycle, and experience in the planning and/or delivery of services to vulnerable groups. An understanding of national policy and local priorities is essential.
