Group Executive (Liberal Democrat Group)

Interested in Local Politics? 

This part time, fixed term post is a unique opportunity to work closely with local elected members in providing effective opposition within the context of a local authority. 

The Group Executive will provide a wide range of high level strategic and administrative assistance to the Leader and other Members of the Liberal Democrat Group.  

They will be required to undertake research and analysis and investigate matters to assist the Group in policy formulation and will be responsible for the preparation of reports, position and briefing papers on emerging Government legislation and local policies for discussion and consideration by the Group. 

Political awareness, professionalism, and the ability to work on own initiative to tight deadlines is essential to this role.
