About the role
We are looking to recruit someone to support the management of the Council’s Modernising Back Office Systems (MBOS) Programme.
MBOS is a programme of multiple projects, the most significant of which is to source and implement a replacement for the Council’s current SAP system. This is a high-profile project which will help shape the delivery of back office services for years to come.
The PMO Lead will work closely with a group of Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) drawn from professional disciplines across the Council (such as Finance, HR and Procurement) to work up project plans and support the coordination and tracking of activity across the Programme Team. They will also support oversight of the programme through provision of reports and other updates to the MBOS Board.
The ideal candidate will have experience of working on complex projects as well as a good understanding of the operating environment for the Council. More importantly, they will bring a passion for change, the ability to work collaboratively and a strong focus on delivering outcomes.
