Of the 38 LEPs across England, Solent LEP represents one of the most significant coastal gateway regions in the country, and is responsible for securing and investing large amounts of public and private sector funding in ambitious projects to create new businesses, jobs and homes.

Your New Role
In this post you will become a key member of the wider executive support structure to the LEP, interpreting and analysing data to adhere with regulatory reporting requirements and to improve the way the LEP works. You will report to the Governance and Compliance Manager and work closely with the entire LEP team, Chief Executive and wider Executive team to administer an exemplary data analysis service to the LEP. You will lead on the completion of all submissions of various HM Government, regulatory and legislative data reports, as well as analysing data to maximise understanding across the LEP. You will provide quarterly monitoring reports to key groups and provide data reports to support operations including for case conferences. You will lead on securing and presenting data requirements related to key publications, as well as interpreting and communicating data to senior stakeholders.
You will lead on external business data analysis for the LEP region and apply tools and techniques for data analysis and data visualisation. You will deliver data consistency and accuracy through multiple data sources, deliver fit for purpose reporting to LEP teams and continuously improve the effectiveness of data use throughout the LEP. You will lead on data retention and privacy requirements and act as ‘super admin’ for the LEP’s Customer Relation Management system. You will support with improvements to reporting systems and monitor all reporting reconciliations. You will assist with the compilation of management information reports and line manage the Compliance and Data Officer.
What you’ll need to succeed
You will need substantial experience as a Data and Compliance Manager in a role similar to this one. You will have a relevant qualification or the equivalent experience, as well as excellent numeracy, logic and thinking skills. You will have an analytical approach to data and problem solving, as well as previous experience using CRM. You should have quality assurance, validation and data linkage abilities as well as good IT skills and experience with Microsoft Office. You will demonstrate a high level of attention to detail and accuracy as well as the ability to work both alone and as part of a team. You will have excellent literacy skills and the ability to prioritise and manage a busy workload whilst adhering to deadlines. You will have effective communication and interpersonal skills and be able to multi-task and maintain confidentiality.
