Temporary Asset Management Technician
Halton Borough Council is a unitary authority located in the North West England astride the River Mersey. The Asset Management team is responsible for the management of Council’s property, supporting major redevelopment and regeneration projects, including the Mersey Gateway Bridge in 2017.
We are looking for an organised and motivated individual to join the Asset Management Team on a temporary basis. Included within the remit of the team is handling land ownership enquiries, management of commercial lettings, disposal of surplus property, acquisition of property to deliver Council services and contributing to the delivery of major projects.
Reporting to the Asset and Valuation Manager, you will support the Asset Management Team in this varied role of property related activities.
You will carry out a wide range of tasks including spreadsheet and database management and utilising mapping systems. You will also assist in the preparation and creation of management reports, record keeping, and liaising with colleagues across the Council and appointed contractors.
You will support the team in responding to day-to-day enquiries from the general public, as well engaging with internal colleagues in the Council and external consultants.
You will be a team player, confident communicator, with good IT and organisational skills.
You will be flexible, able to work to tight deadlines and under your own initiative.
The Council has an Agile Working policy to support remote working.
