The Digital Services team is looking for an additional technician to assist with receiving, recording and resolving requests for assistance from staff and Members. The duties will require you to be committed to providing high levels of customer service via all contact channels.
This is a varied role with duties including the installation, configuration, upgrade and support of all IT equipment across the Council and you will also be expected to support software products within the organisation. You should be familiar with business applications and web operations, providing assistance when required.
You will need sufficient skill to be able to troubleshoot issues with Office 2016/Office 365 or above as well as configure iPhones/iPads and resolve issues arising with them.
A minimum level of education to GCSE grade C in English or Maths or equivalent level gained through work experience.
The service desk operates from 8.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. and you will be required to participate in a rota providing cover between these hours.
Occasional working out of normal office hours will be required, for which overtime is payable.
