Referral Order Liaison Officer - Birmingham Children's Trust
We are looking for an experienced and dedicated practitioner to work in a multi-agency team at Birmingham North Youth Offending Team.
You will be responsible for carrying out statutory functions in relation to risk assessments pertaining to public protection, re-offending and safeguarding whilst supervising young people on statutory court orders in the community.
This includes the timely preparation of Referral Order reports for Referral Order panels and to undertake appropriate risk assessments in relation to the community panel.
You will co-ordinate the Panel meetings, liaise with internal and external agencies, maintain case management records on a data base in accordance to National Standards. In carrying out this role, the you will also be involved in the recruitment, training and deployment of panel members.
The role also involves working with families including those who meet the Think Family Criteria through a “whole family approach “to prevent re-offending, manage risk and to improve out for young people and their families.
You should have a good understanding of the Crime and Disorder Act 1998 and the Children’s Act 2005.
