About us

The London Borough of Newham is located only 5 miles east of London. It is well positioned with access to all major networks in London and the south east.  It is well connected by public transport with, bus, tube and DLR. When the Cross rail service opens it will call at Custom House close to our council offices and also Stratford station and from there to central London. About the job

We are looking to appoint a Correspondence and Appeals Officer who will work with the current back office team and be responsible for ensuring Penalty Charge Notice (PCN) enquiries and representations at all stages through the PCN process are responded to within statutory timeframes and in accordance with the legislation, policies and procedures. The successful candidate will be required to prepare case summaries and evidence packs to the parking tribunal service for adjudication hearings.

About you

Previous experience of working within the Parking industry and dealing with Parking related correspondence and complaints is highly desirable. The successful candidate will therefore need to demonstrate a highly flexible approach to work and an ability to adapt to changes in work environment. In addition, sound administration skills, IT skills and attention to detail are paramount, together with a genuine commitment to, and experience of, first class customer service.
