Housing Assets Team Manager
Band I – salary package up to £55k per annum including lease car option and performance bonus.
We are looking for an experienced and innovative leader who can take our Housing Asset Management Service to the next level.
With an ambitious new supply programme including delivering new build as well as acquisitions, this role is far more than ensuring delivery of our important core compliance and council house improvement programmes. With a total Capital programme in excess of £12m supported by HRA revenue funded planned and cyclical programmes this gives a clear indication of our ambition to be a market leading social landlord. With a forecast core improvement programme of £4.5m per annum for the next 5 years we have the resource to help us deliver a top-quality housing service to tenants.
We are keen to consider innovative solutions going forward including grant funding to support our developing Zero Carbon approach, through which we have already fitted over 350 air source heat pumps to former coal fired properties. We are delivering our council homes improvement programme using our In-house Repairs Team, so close working with the Housing Commercial Service Manager will be essential to ensure the benefits for tenants of this arrangement are maximised. To help us deliver our ambitions a new integrated ICT system platform will go live in January 2021 and we have a commitment to update our asset management strategy this financial year to cover 2021-2026.
We are looking for an experienced asset management professional with a proven track record of developing and delivering high quality services. In return we can offer a competitive salary and a £3k per annum performance bonus for the first 3 years, together with the option of a lease car (or cash equivalent). You will be working in a supportive management environment that will encourage delivery of the required performance standards, as well as developing the successful applicant.
