Arboricultural Administrator

Huntingdon (site based and some home working available)

12 month FTC

The Arboricultural Administrator will support our Conservation & Environment Team, and in particular the work of the Arboricultural (Tree) Officer. You will be required to assist in the processing of applications for works to protected trees, provide general advice to applicants  and to assist in the delivery of projects to improve the management of the Districts tree stock.

With good written and verbal skills, you will need to be competent in all MS Office products and be able to provide high levels of administration to the busy department including sending emails and letters, arranging meetings, drafting reports and providing high levels of customer service to all of our customers.

A confident communicator you will need to be self-motivated and able to demonstrate working to deadlines with high levels of accuracy and attention to detail.

If you have an interest in working in an environmental position, are passionate about nature and interested in gaining knowledge and experience whilst providing high levels of administration please get in touch. Specific training on the assessment and protection of trees will be provided.

This role will require you to undertake some site visits and you must be comfortable working outside as well as being partly office based. Currently you are able to work from home but you must be local to Huntingdonshire due to the requirement for site visits and you must possess a valid UK driving licence.
