Contact Tracer - Test, Trace, Protect Service
The Welsh Government Test, Trace, Protect strategy is a critical element of controlling the COVID19 pandemic and is designed to enhance health surveillance in the community. It will undertake effective and extensive contact tracing, and support people to self-isolate where required to do so. As part of the Gwent Regional response Blaenau Gwent County Borough Council are currently recruiting a number of critical positions to join our Contact Tracing Team. The Contract Tracing service operates 7 days a week, 8am to 8pm and is key to slowing the spread of COVID-19 and keeping our local community a safe place to live and work. This service is provided on a remote working basis with all roles being homebased. IT equipment will be provided.
Contact Tracer
The Contact Tracer will make outbound calls to those individuals who have tested positive for COVID19 and identify anyone that has been in contact with them prior to infection and will provide advice on self-isolation. Detailed scripts and training will be available.
Thorough pre-employment screening is undertaken during the recruitment process.
