The role

Responsible for the communication of guidance to businesses and the public to ensure the safe opening and operation of Gravesend Town Centre and neighbourhood shopping centres; assisting businesses to build their resilience and adaptability in the context of the economic impact of Covid-19. This is a fixed term post (to 31 March 2021) and is funded under strands 2 and 3 of the Reopening High Streets Safely Fund/HM Government/ERDF. This post is a supervisory role with oversight of a small team of information officers.

The post requires flexible working, including weekends and early evening; 37 hours per week.

Essential qualifications/experience

Educated to Level 3 or above, with qualifications appropriate to the role. Experience of overseeing other staff, as part of a team. Face to face communication with the public and small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs). Full clean driving licence. 

Desirable qualifications/experience

Knowledge of basic Health and Safety practices; an understanding of how businesses operate and sources of additional business support to help them adapt in the current Covid-19 context.
