ARBORICULTURE OFFICER (Ref: B102)
Salary Up to £30,341.48 pa
The Council is committed to delivering a high standard of tree and grounds maintenance in its parks, golf course and sports pitches, cemeteries and other amenities.
In this post, the successful applicant will be responsible for day to day management of the arboricultural service that includes monitoring of the arboriculture contract, a planned programme of tree surveys, dealing with residents’ tree enquiries including tree preservation orders, manage the tree database system, prepare contract specifications and reports and ensure a value for money service for all arboriculture works.
The chosen candidate will be computer literate and have a National Diploma in Arboriculture or equivalent with experience in arboriculture work and working with volunteers in the local community. A manual driving licence is essential.
The ability to converse at ease with members of the public and provide advice in fluent English is essential in this post.
