The Isle of Wight Council in partnership with Hampshire County Council are now embarking upon a two-year programme to replace its current Children’s social care case management system. The new system will underpin new ways of working and the future success of the service.

An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Desktop Support Team to help deliver the new Childrens Services IT system. We are looking to recruit a skilled, enthusiastic and self-motivated professional into the role of a Desktop Support Officer for Applications and Training. This challenging yet rewarding role will support our Childrens Services staff with the implementation of their new Mosaic IT system.

As an Applications and Training Desktop Support Officer your role within the project will involve, but not limited to, the testing of the new system, support and troubleshooting together with the creation and delivery of the training programme for end users. You will also be responsible for delivering classroom-style training courses (either face to face or online), producing system documentation and providing information and advice to support the project on all relevant matters affecting the use of the new system for end users. We are looking for someone who has good verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex application processes to customers in a non-complex and non-technical manner as part of the delivery of formal training courses.
