Behaviour Support Assistant
Monday to Friday / Term time
Temporary until July 2021
37 hours: 8.00 - 4.00 pm (Mon - Fri)
(with 1 x ½ hour unpaid break every day)
Swale Pay Scale: Band 4 Point 12 - 14 (£18,242 - £19,123)
Pro rata salary (Point 12 - 14) £15,687 - £16,444 per annum
A position has arisen due to Covid-19 staff redeployment therefore we are looking to appoint an enthusiastic person to work as part of a team who can enhance our practice by working with small groups of students on a regular basis to support their behaviour for learning by looking at behaviour coping strategies and delivering a bespoke programme of study. In addition the successful candidate will provide technician support for PE, Performing Arts and Food Technology. It would be an advantage to have experience in each of these areas.
The Eastbourne Academy Ofsted report (January 2017) confirmed once again that we are a Good school. The Lead Inspector commented: “Pupils are immensely proud of their school and are keen to learn.” We have regularly won awards for national achievement. We operate a one to one iPad/Chromebook scheme for students and staff.
