Job Title: Projects Officer - Health Walks
Salary Range: Starting Salary: £23,080 pa progressing to £30,451 pa dependent on skills and experience
Contract: Permanent Contract
Before Covid 19 close down Hertfordshire Health Walks was the largest accredited walking for health programme in England, with more than 60 volunteer led walks per week and 67,000 annual attendances. We are looking for someone to join our small but highly motivated team to play a significant role in rebuilding the initiative in this new and challenging environment.
Hertfordshire Health Walks is a targeted health improvement initiative delivered through a supported network of volunteers. The walks are free, short and graded to make physical activity as barrier-free and accessible as possible.
Our immediate focus is on implementing new protocols, processes and practical systems to re-establish our walks and manage attendance during this period of rapid change. In this role, you will be involved in everything from recruiting volunteer walk leaders and participants, promoting the walks programme and liaising with healthcare and community advocates.
You will need to combine plenty of enthusiasm, with the initiative to work autonomously, motivate others and have the drive to achieve great results.
*Able to plan and deliver work effectively, both independently and with external partners as part of a project delivery team
*Able to communicate with a broad range of audiences to achieve your goals
*Able to work in an organised and professional manner, assimilate information and develop skills quickly to make a meaningful contribution
*Excellent up to date IT skills
*A full current driving licence is essential
