In Hertfordshire we have exciting times ahead as we are making changes to our resources for troubled and challenging children. We are looking for some highly motivated and committed professionals to join our teams. If you are interested in developing your skills in working with adolescents, learning new models of intervention, resilient, enthusiastic and determined to improve outcomes for children in residential care then these are the roles for you.
As part of a multi-agency team you will use our therapeutic model of intervention to help teenagers make sense of their experiences in order to help them achieve their potential. Your ability to reflect on your own experiences and practice will be the foundation for developing effective and trusting relationships with the vulnerable young people in our care.
Our home in Watford will provide a high quality and homely environment for up to four children between the ages of 8-18 years. The home has fully adopted an evidenced based therapeutic framework to work within and, we are looking for a motivated and committed person to support the newly formed team in offering a supportive and nurturing approach to the children and young people’s in our care. About the role:
As a Deputy Manager you will have at least 2 years’ experience within residential services, with at least Level 3 Diploma in Caring for Children and Young People or equivalent. You should be able to oversee all care practice within the home and meet all legislative frameworks. You will manage and support the staff teams within their roles and deputise for the Manager in their absence.
It is expected that the post holder is expected to work some shifts including weekends, and to take part in an on-call rota.
Applicants must be over 21 years old to apply which is 4 years older than the oldest child within our residential setting and hold a full manual driving licence.
