We are aspiring for a future Wirral where as few people as possible are affected by domestic abuse, but those who are can get help to end the abuse and go on to live the lives they want.
Wirral Children’s Services has transformed some of its ambitions, ideas and principles into reality with another successful funding bid from the Department for Education to deliver a programme which seeks to improve the experiences of social care services for children, young people and families affected by domestic abuse, making it easier to access support and making sure there is help when they need it.
The “We can talk about Domestic abuse” programme is a one year programme which sees the creation of a specialist team of domestic abuse subject matter experts who understand the world of social care and the experiences of families affected by domestic abuse.
We are looking to appoint a Project Officer to Support the implementation of the programme, undertaking administrative, organisational and co-ordination tasks to ensure successful delivery and evaluation of the project.
