An experienced manager required to jointly manage the Interim Provision Service (IPS) within ISEND. You will work 0.6 as a Deputy Service Manager coordinating the interim, alternative provision of children and young people with EHCPs (ages 5 to 25 years) who are out of school or college awaiting their next educational placement. You will manage the team of specialist SEND peripatetic teachers; who work across East Sussex, providing creative and bespoke educational packages.
The successful candidate will have substantial managerial experience which; would ideally include, coordinating provision for pupils with complex SEND. You will be a qualified teacher with a knowledge of a broad range of SEND. You will have a working knowledge of the SEN Code of Practice, SEN panels and an understanding of the complexities of the Statutory Assessment process. The work involves close liaison with the Assessment and Planning Team which is responsible for securing the children and young people’s future educational placement. The role requires a calm disposition and ability to problem solve under pressure. You will be efficient, well organised with excellent time management skills.
