Out of School Special Educational Needs Teacher (+SEN Point)
Are you a qualified and experienced teacher of SEND children and young people looking for your next new and exciting challenge? Then the ISEND Interim Provision Service (IPS) wants to hear from you.
IPS requires an experienced full time QTS teacher to teach children and young people with complex special educational needs on a 1:1 basis. These children/young people will be awaiting a suitable, specialist educational placement. Teaching will usually take place within the home or at an identified community venue.
Candidates will have proven experience of teaching children and young people with EHCPs whose range of needs include Autism and SEMH. We teach children and young people from the age of 5-25 years and are particularly interested in hearing from teachers who have worked in a specialist secondary SEND school or provision.
Successful candidates will be confident in planning and delivering bespoke packages of education to meet individual needs and will enjoy being creative and solution focused in managing their caseload and supporting IPS colleagues. This role allows for a good level of independence for resourceful and innovative teachers who are able to adapt teaching to the student’s responses within the teaching sessions.
You will be working within a very supportive, dynamic and friendly team. IPS is committed to CPD and to developing excellent partnership working with parents and multiagency professionals.
This is a peripatetic role which will require you to travel to venues across the county. The SEN point range applies, however the higher rate will only be awarded to those with a recognised SEND qualification.
