Supported by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) Reopening High Streets Safely Fund Barnsley Council are looking to recruit two Town Centre SME COVID Development Officers.
Barnsley’s town and local centres are a key contributor to the borough’s economy. COVID19 has impacted on these centres and it is crucial that our independent businesses are supported to operate safely giving confidence to customers old and new. This is an opportunity to be at the centre of Barnsley Councils recovery programme.
You will be working alongside regulatory and enforcement professionals, but your role is to prevent enforcement by supporting small and medium size enterprises to navigate the safe reopening of their business. Your role will connect you to other agencies and partners to provide advice, education and assistance to business customers to ensure they are aware of their obligations.
The Barnsley Council ERDF Reopening High Street Safely project is receiving funding from the England European Regional Development Fund as part of the European Structural and Investment Funds Growth Programme 2014-2020.
