The Council may only pay allowances and expenses after considering a report from its Independent Remuneration Panel.

As a member of the IRP you will be requested to consider renumeration data from other councils, meet with Councillors and senior Council staff and make recommendations to achieve an appropriate scheme of allowances for the Council.
