About the Post:
We are recruiting two additional Market Officers to join our existing team of six Market Officers, to continue to deliver the market service functions during the COVID19 Pandemic.
As Market Officer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the markets in the borough are open and ready for trading each day. You will ensure rents and charges are collected or billed accordingly. You will be the first point of contact for all stallholders and shopper enquiries. You will also play a key role in ensuring that the rules and regulations of the market and town centres are followed, enforcing these as required.
You will be based within a wider team of Market Officers, covering the markets in Barnsley Town Centre, as well as the local markets in Wombwell, Goldthorpe, Penistone and Hoyland.
