About the role

An opportunity has arisen in Health and Social Care Connect (HSCC) for a Safeguarding Resource Officer.

HSCC is the East Sussex countywide hub for both professionals and the public to access adult community health and social care services. We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Resource Officer to join our fast paced Safeguarding Adults Triage team. You will be responsible for prioritising and responding to all safeguarding concerns reported to Health and Social Care Connect. As such you should have a thorough understanding of Sussex Safeguarding Adults policy and procedures and other relevant legislation.

The right person for this role will have demonstrable working knowledge of Safeguarding Adults, be motivated and able to deal with competing priorities in a dynamic and fast paced environment. In return you can expect to receive regular supervision and comprehensive training and development opportunities.

This is a 37 hours per week post, working a variety of shifts between Monday to Friday 8am-8pm.

Additional information

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is part-time or term-time only.

Work Permits: we may be able to obtain a Work Permit for this post but this is subject to meeting the requirements of the UK Border Agency’s Points-based Immigration System.

From 6 April 2011 the Home Office has placed a permanent restriction on the number of migrant workers that all Tier 2 (General) Sponsors can recruit. Due to the restrictions we cannot guarantee that individuals that meet the requirements of the Points-based Immigration System will be issued with clearance to obtain work permits.
