Early Intervention Officer (MDC8317)
£22,183 - £27,041 per annum
Mansfield District Council is looking to recruit an Early Intervention Officer into their homeless team to help to prevent homelessness within the district.
The successful applicant will manage and investigate a broad range of homeless cases in order to prevent homelessness using the Homelessness Reduction Act as the basis for decision making in each case.
They will provide support to their homeless applicants using personal housing plans to help the applicant help themselves find accommodation as well as liaising with private landlords, other local authorities, the Police, Social Care and other partner organisations.
The Team provides an out of hour’s service and each Team member will provide this service on a rota basis.
Mansfield District Council has a busy homeless service and receives over 1500 homeless application each year so the successful applicant will need to be positive, have a supportive attitude and will need to have excellent organisational skills.
Knowledge and experience of homelessness would be beneficial as would knowledge and experience of support services for the homeless.
