Health Improvement Coordinator – Adult Mental Health & Suicide Prevention
Location: County Hall, Hertford & Farnham House, Stevenage
£35,745 to £39,880 per annum
37 hours per week
Good mental health is now more important than ever so Hertfordshire Public Health is creating a new team to focus on adult public mental health and suicide prevention. We want to support residents to be resilient and to achieve and maintain the best possible mental health they can. This is particularly important with the on-going challenges from the Covid-19 pandemic.
We will also soon be launching our new Suicide Prevention Strategy and our vision is that no one in Hertfordshire should feel that suicide is their only option.
We’re looking for someone with knowledge of the principles and practice of public health, ideally around mental health, who is passionate about making a difference to the lives of Hertfordshire residents as well as tackling health inequalities.
You’ll support the work of the Health Improvement Lead by developing and implementing health improvement plans, and by reviewing outcomes. This will include working on multiple projects simultaneously, so you’ll be familiar with project management principles as well as confident to engage with a wide range of stakeholders. You’ll have excellent written and verbal communication skills as you’ll be writing reports and giving presentations, and you’ll be a competent user of Microsoft Office applications.
If you share our passion and commitment to improving the mental health and wellbeing of Hertfordshire residents, then we would love to hear from you.
Closing date: Midnight 23rd November
Interview dates: w/c 7th December to be confirmed
