Redbridge is an ambitious, diverse and exciting east-London borough. What we do is driven by changing our relationship with local people to support our vision. As a result, we've developed innovative ways to build our communities and transform our Council.
We're one of the fastest growing parts of the country and the third most diverse London borough. Our communities are attracted by a mixture of excellent schools, relatively affordable housing, high-quality open space and rapid transport connections into the heart of the City.

The role requires extensive senior management experience and a track record of successful leadership of a programme portfolio of large-scale, high-value sub-regional programmes for small businesses and or/employment and skills programmes. The role also requires extensive financial management experience, including contract management and management of European funding (ESF).
The Programme Manager: Business & Employment will manage a portfolio of externally funded programmes with a value in excess of £20M per year. Our programmes provide training and support for our business base of small and medium enterprises, and our employment programmes support residents into sustained employment.
Our programmes are primarily delivered through sub-contracts. The role therefore involves a significant amount of contract and relationship management. The role also involves the development and establishment of new programmes and the on-going development of the programme portfolio in line with Local London strategies and the developing needs of the sub-region.
Local London is the sub-regional partnership of eight boroughs: Enfield, Waltham Forest, Redbridge, Newham, Barking & Dagenham, Havering, Greenwich and Bexley. We also work with the London Borough of Bromley as an associate on several of our programmes.

It is an exciting time to join Local London, as we take a key role in the economic recovery in our partner boroughs, whilst maintaining our focus on inclusive growth across the sub-region.
