Are you an experienced Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) instructor who would like to join our exciting programme to train 1000 people living and working in Croydon to become Mental Health First Aiders?

Croydon Council has been training its own staff as Mental Health First Aiders for seven years, and we have recently established a Croydon wide MHFA instructor network and started delivering Mental Health First courses for the community.
You would be joining a small friendly Public Health team to both deliver MHFA training, support new community MHFA instructors and support the organisation of the training programme and the Croydon MHFA instructor network. You will work as part of a wider team of Croydon wide MHFA instructors.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:
- Good experience of delivering the MHFA two day course, the half day and refresher courses,
- Having delivered the new online MHFA training
- Experience of supporting newly trained instructors
- Excellent organisational skills including considerable experience of setting up and using excel spreadsheets.
- Experience in using the MHFA England Dashboard, Enabley and Zoom preferred
There will be a regular requirement to train in the evenings and at the weekends. We are only delivering on line training at this time but there may be a requirement for some onsite presence for other activities.
