A rare and excellent opportunity has arisen to join the Council’s highly regarded Building Surveying team. We are looking for self-motivated, enthusiastic experienced Surveyor who is committed to delivering a first-class customer service in a competitive environment who needs very little supervision to help with the more complex applications. The appointment will be commensurate with experience. Working hours 37 hours per week (full-time) or part-time for the right candidate
Uttlesford District Council's Building Control deal with a wide range of applications from an international airport to listed building extensions. This will give the successful applicant a wide variety, as well as depth of experience.
Excellent verbal and written communications skills are essential, along with the ability and confidence to provide advice and guidance to customers and build good working relationships with agents, architects and builders. As we have a fully electronic application and plan-checking processes good IT skills are necessary.
A full current driving license and access to a vehicle is required as travelling within the district will be necessary.
