Job Title: Early Years Specialist Vision Impairment
Location: Main Base: Hertford must be able to travel Countywide
Salary Range: £19,698 - £27,741pa (pro rata for part-time), dependant on qualification and experience
Hours: 25 per week - Term Time Only
Integrated Services for Learning is part of Hertfordshire County Council’s Children's Services. It is a multi-disciplinary service comprising of Specialist Advisory Teachers, Educational Psychologists, Specialist Support Staff, Statutory SEN Services and Educational Support Centres.
Our teams work with babies, children and young people with a range of needs including autism and other communication difficulties, sensory and physical impairments and specific learning difficulties.
We currently have an opportunity for an Early Years Specialist within the Vision Impairment Team, SEND Specialist Advice and Support Service. You will plan and deliver support to early years children who have vision impairment (VI). This will involve working with babies and children, and their Parents/Carers, in their homes, Early Years settings and schools countywide.
You need experience of working with children and young people with special educational needs and/or a disability. You may already hold the RNIB/VIEW Partners in Learning Advanced Certificate. If you do not hold the certificate you will be expected to obtain this within two years
You will need to be flexible and have excellent interpersonal skills. We offer a supportive working environment, specialist training and a lease car may be available.
