Experienced Social Worker, Initial Assessment Team - 2 posts.
Halton Borough Councils expectations are high and you will need a strong commitment to providing first class care to Halton residents over 18 years and support to their carers. We have an excellent opportunities for Social Workers to work within Halton’s Initial Assessment Team (IAT) based at Widnes Municipal Building, but providing a service across Halton’s Borough. You will be working in a supportive team with regular supervision
We have two roles available:
One within the core assessment team dealing with clients who currently don’t have a service provision via the HBC. The main function is to undertake assessments of need and commission support or signpost to relevant non statuary services within the local community.
The second position will still work within the IAT but the role requires someone who can promote and be a lead for the implementation of Strength Based Assessments across all Adult Social Care. An interest and understanding of this agenda would be essential to the role.
You will have a recognised professional qualification, DipSW or equivalent, good interpersonal and communication skills, a flexible approach and a willingness to continually improve your practice, in addition you must hold a full driving licence.
You will receive a car user allowance and flexible working week. You will receive up to 33 days annual leave per annum and a commitment to your on-going professional development.
