Female Outreach Worker

Exact working hours: 18 hours per week to be worked 9am to 5pm Monday and Tuesday and 1pm to 5pm Wednesday. You must also be available to cover emergency on call on a rota basis (shift allowance paid).
Any further details: Successful applicants must have a full driving licence, have access to a reliable car, and live within maximum 45 drive from our offices in Woking. This is so that occasional emergency on call rota responsibilities can be fulfilled in the rare event of callout to our premises for urgent support requirements. Any offer will be subject to acceptable references and a Disclosure and Barring Service check.
The pro rata salary is £11,417pa for 18 hours per week (full time equivalent £22,835 pa).

Job DetailsYour Sanctuary is a Surrey based charity which provides specialist assistance to women, men and children affected by domestic abuse. Would you like to use your strong communication skills and proactive attitude to empower female survivors to live a life without fear? Working in our community based service, you will provide emotional and practical support to women who are experiencing, or who have experienced, domestic abuse. Enabling clients to reach informed decisions about their future, you will undertake risk assessments, prepare safety plans, and liaise with Statutory and other agencies. In addition, you will facilitate group work programmes and take calls on our specialist helpline as well as deliver presentations in order to raise awareness.
You must have experience of supporting individuals who have been affected by domestic abuse or other trauma, including undertaking risk assessments, preparing safety plans and working on a multi-agency basis. You must be well organised with a professional and flexible approach to your work with a calm and re-assuring manner.
