Rutland County Council’s Registration Service is looking for a dynamic, committed Deputy Registrar of Births and Deaths/Deputy Superintendent Registrar.
- Have highly developed communication skills with a sensitive, people-centred focus
- Have well-honed customer service and front of house skills
- Have strong IT skills with accurate and excellent attention to detail
- Are able to work flexibly, as part of a small team
- Have access to your own vehicle to travel around the county (mileage costs will be reimbursed)
- Previous experience in a similar role would be an advantage
About the role…..
Working on behalf of the Council and the Registrar General, this is a key statutory role. The post-holder has personal responsibility for ensuring that the law is upheld in relation to the registration of births, deaths, marriages, civil partnerships and citizenships. Rutland Registration Service undertakes registrations at the Register Office in Oakham, and supplies registration staff for ceremonies at licensed premises throughout the County.
The successful applicant for this post will be subject to a Basic Disclosure Check. The cost of the check will be reimbursed by us.
