Public Realm are seeking an adaptable and self-motivated individual to join our busy team within Environmental Services. The successful candidate will provide support for the service, specifically working alongside the Supervisors and the Head of Public Realm.
The successful candidate will report to the Head of Public Realm and will assist with managing a range of tasks including, dealing with customer service requests and enquiries on behalf of the service, processing orders, invoices and accounts, making procurement payments, data collection as well as maintaining and improving the service’s electronic and manual systems.
You should have experience working within an office environment and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You should have good numeracy and literacy skills, proven ICT skills and the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. You must be able to work effectively as part of a close team and cope well working within a frequently changing environment.
You should possess GCSE’s, grade C or above, in English and Maths (or equivalent). In addition, you must be competent in using Word and Excel, with the view of working towards completing a qualification once in post. A full current UK driving licence is desirable.
This post is permanent working 37 hours per week, based at White Lund Depot, Morecambe. The Council currently operates a Flexible Working Hours Scheme which applies to this post.
