Full Time (37 hours per week) – 2 year Fixed Term Contract
£27,741 - £29,577 per annum (Local Scale Point 23 to 25)
An opportunity has arisen in the Housing Options Team to maintain and increase supply of properties within the private rented sector for the purposes of delivering homelessness prevention. The post holder will be responsible for range of activities relating to the prevention of homelessness and will be a key liaison between Housing and our partners at the Department of Work and Pension (DWP).
We are looking for an individual who:
- Enjoys working as part of a team
- Is able work on own initiative
- Is able to manage a project
- Is able to work under pressure in a busy environment
- Has excellent communication skills
- Is experienced in working in partnership with a range of organisations
- Is experienced in working with vulnerable and/or homeless people
The position is ideally suited to someone who is experienced with work in an advice or housing capacity, has knowledge of Welfare Benefits and is keen to develop in-depth knowledge of the Homelessness Reduction Act 2017. A full driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential. The opportunity to work partially from home will be considered in the future.
