We have an exciting opportunity for an inspirational Inclusion Teacher to join our dedicated and well respected team.  The Inclusion Teacher will work with maintained nurseries and early year’s settings in the private, voluntary and independent sectors. The role will primarily be one of developing good practice for children with special educational needs. 

The successful candidate will have an excellent understanding of SEND and Equalities legislation and a sound knowledge of child development in the early years.  You will have demonstrable experience in the planning and delivery of evidence based interventions for children with special educational needs.  You will possess skills in demonstrating interventions and coaching others.  You will possess the ability to engage in collaborative problem solving with parents and a range of professionals in education, health and social care.  You will have demonstrable ability to plan and deliver training that supports inclusive practice in the early years.

This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and will require an Enhanced DBS.

To be considered for this post it is essential that you have qualified teacher status, a DFE reference number, and a minimum of 5 years recent teaching experience with at least two in the Early Years.  You will have engaged in professional development in SEN.  This may be in relation to a specialism, specific programmes of intervention, or an academic qualification in SEN (e.g. Masters level study).  The post will start from 1st January 2021 or as soon as is possible after that date.
