Information Quality Officer

Location: Hemel Hempstead
Salary Range: £27,741- 30,451 pa
Hours: 37 hours per week
Contract: Permanent

The Older People Service works with adults aged 65+, as well as adults with dementia, by supporting them to manage their care needs. They provide social work and occupational therapy assessment and advice for older people and their carers, often,  alongside our partners in Health. This includes promoting independence and offering Enablement where appropriate. The teams also provide personal care budgets to people and reassess when people's needs change. Sensory Services provides specialist assessment, care and support and equipment for people who are deaf, hard of hearing or visually impaired.

Job Duties:

This role is well suited to an individual that has exceptional critical thinking ability, strong problem-solving capacity and high level written and verbal communication skills. Project management skills and experience of working to tight deadlines would be a distinct advantage.

Based within the Business Support Team, you will work closely with several front-line teams across the department, providing system support on the care recording system (ACSIS) and the reporting system (Business Objects).

The key responsibilities of the role will include;

  • Providing system support to staff on a day-to-day basis on the use of the care recording system
  • Reviewing the care recording system to identify data quality issues and then communicating with staff to resolve these issues
  • Running and developing database performance reports for performance management purposes
  • Providing in house training on the care system to staff, particularly to new members of staff
  • Liaising with ICT and Systems Teams on departmental ICT projects

You will preferably have;

  • 2-3 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Knowledge of working in a similar sector is advantageous
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office particularly Excel
  • Excellent project management skills and attention to detail
  • Good communication skills
  • An NVQ level 3 qualification, or equivalent, is desirable
