About the role
Due to an expansion of the service, the Education Support, Behaviour and Attendance Service are seeking to recruit four highly experienced and dynamic Senior Attendance Officers.
This role involves supervising Behaviour and Attendance Support Practitioners particularly around attendance case work and undertaking direct work with children, families and schools alongside supporting the work of the Team Leaders. ESBAS provide high quality support and intervention for children and young people with poor or protracted non-attendance for a variety of reasons. The Senior Attendance officer will be vital in supporting complex cases and be able to give clear guidance on attendance legislation whilst demonstrating a high level of understanding of the complex nature of the cases.
We are also seeking to appoint a Senior Attendance officer dedicated to supporting special schools with their own team of practitioners. They will need to develop strong links with Special Schools and understand the complex nature of the children and young people that attend these and the difficulties that families have in securing regular attendance.
Are you ready to take the next step in your career? Do you have proven experience in the field of attendance and supporting families? Are you passionate, driven and solution focussed? Can you bring knowledge and experience to support others?
If the answers are ‘yes’, then this could be the perfect role for you!
