HR Admin Assistant
Location – remote working due to Covid but commutable to Pathfinder House Huntingdon
6 Month Fixed Term Contract
Grade B (£17,589 FTE salary)
At Huntingdonshire District Council we have a great opportunity for someone to join us in our HR department as an HR Admin Assistant, in order to help support the team by undertaking a variety of admin tasks.
This role offers the opportunity to be involved in all aspects of HR, from recruitment, learning and development, employee relations and policies and you will be exposed to a wide range of HR tasks, supporting us in duties like posting recruitment job ads, employment reference checks, updating excel spreadsheets and processing employee enquiries as directed by HR team.
We are seeking someone with superb organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks, communicate effectively both via email and phone, a pro-active and positive can-do attitude, willingness to learn and the ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.
You will need to have worked in a busy office supporting a team with a range of admin based assignments and possess good working knowledge of all MS Office products. Experience or interest in HR would be great but more important is your willingness to learn and your commitment to our values.
