For this full time position we are looking for a good team player to join this small busy team based at Gun Wharf. Shared Lives is a registered service with the CQC and part of the role will be to monitor the support provided by carers and ensure that it meets the standards and regulations required.
The post holder will report to the team manager but will have a high degree of autonomy in the daily management of their workload and in completing agreed tasks. Good administration skills and time management will be essential, along with the ability to prioritise tasks. They will hold a small caseload of day support carers who they visit regularly to supervise and advise, as well as supporting the Social workers on the team.
The post holder will manage all day support and respite arrangements for Shared Lives, including processing payments. They will also facilitate a user group to help in the carer recruitment. The post holder will undertake assessments of people who are referred to the service, support with introductions, care planning and risk assessing.
An understanding of ICT systems, including facebook and twitter, and/or a willingness to learn is essential, along with good problem solving skills and a level of flexibility to support occasional late visits and unexpected changing priorities and plans when required.
