Woodlands looks after up to 4 young people aged between 10-17 years old on admission and provides a safe and nurturing environment for young people who have experienced challenging and traumatic life events. Through the process of building meaningful relationships with both the young people and staff; you will be part of a team that provides warmth, nurture and care for some of Surrey’s most vulnerable children. Woodlands will also give you the opportunity to work with a wider network of professionals in achieving 24-hour, child centred care and support for our young people and their families. PLEASE NOTE: Staff must either achieve or currently hold a Level 3 Social Care qualification or above / or be committed to complete same within 2 years of start date.
Woodlands can accommodate young people up to eighteen years of age; the legal requirement set out by the DFE requires that all staff need to be at least four years older than the oldest accommodated young person; therefore the minimum age for application for this position needs to be twenty-two years.
