The Council is looking to appoint an Assistant Planning Officer to join an established team covering a largely rural district.
The post holder will be working closely with a Principal Planning Officer and advising applicants/agents on the acceptability of development proposals and planning applications. Much of the work will involve consultation and negotiation with applicants/agents as well as carrying out site visits.
Ideally candidates will have a planning degree or degree in a related field. Experience of report writing, excellent communication/ organisational skills and the ability to work flexibly as part of a team, are essential requirement for the role.
