To assist the Principal Planning Officer (Enforcement) and Area Manager in carrying out the full range of planning enforcement and investigation duties within Development Management.

As a Senior Planning Officer (Enforcement) you will play a key role within the team supporting the Principal Officer and also other members of the team. You must be able to demonstrate highly developed negotiations skills and possess excellent interpersonal skills to effectively manage all stakeholders in the enforcement process.
The role will provide the opportunity to work on a diverse range of cases both in the office and on site. You will need good organisational, report writing and IT skills. Initiative and professional judgement will be required to assess development proposals in terms of expediency of action.
You should be qualified to degree level within Planning or a related discipline and ideally either hold, or be working towards, RTPI membership. You should have Development Management experience from the public or private sector. You must enjoy a challenge, be a self-motivated team player and demonstrate excellent customer care. Ability to travel throughout Cheshire East and a full UK driving license are required.
